Bring your expertise to early-stage technical founders building at the intersection of deep science and global markets. Minimal time commitment, real impact.
Mentors commit to 3–5 hours per quarter — typically one or two focused sessions with matched founders. No travel required; all sessions are conducted remotely.
We match you with founders whose technical domain aligns with your expertise — AI/ML, biotech, fintech, deep tech, or others. You work with teams where your input is genuinely valuable.
Mentors gain real exposure to Japan's startup landscape, including introductions to UTokyo researchers, JST program officers, and Japan-side accelerator partners.
Beyond the standard mentor role, Nexus is seeking three founding advisory board members who want deeper strategic involvement — helping shape the program, lending their reputation, and guiding cohort strategy.
A founder or repeat operator with experience taking companies from zero to scale — ideally with exposure to Asian markets or cross-border commercialization.
A domain expert in one of Nexus's core sectors — AI/ML, biotech, deep tech, advanced manufacturing, or robotics — with a strong academic or corporate research background.
A GP or senior partner at a VC firm with demonstrated interest in Japan, Asia, or frontier-tech investing, who can help shape Nexus's investor relations and Demo Day strategy.
Tell us about your background and domain expertise. We will be in touch with details on founder matching and the next cohort.
